Calax Posted January 26, 2006 Share Posted January 26, 2006 hk is the generic model number. the number is the designation and the more specific model number. for example, R2 units are all based off the same design, and the second number is just to give it individuality. while for the HK line I'd guess that the hk 47 was the 47th model based off the origional HK model type. as they made improvements they updated the designation to those newer units.
