Giving out more details on what you were doing when that error occured would be helpful.

Alright, the error appeared once as I was playing the game and I had to close the game. Now it happens whenever I start the game (the loading time after the menu)

That saved game file may be corrupted. You will have to try a previous saved game or start a new one.

What happens though is that I can load my saved game and I can play for a while without the error but when I try to start a new game, I get it. I just reinstalled and the same problem persists.

You could have a bad or mismatched stick of Ram. Or possibly just a memory leak.

Sometimes games keep on grabbing more and more memory without releasing or reusing previously used memory....You might try looking at your game's executable in the Processes tab of Windows Task Manager while you are playing to see if its Mem Usage keeps on growing. You could also look in the Performance tab of WTM to see if CPU Usage and/or PF Usage keep growing while you are playing the game.

These pesty memory errors sure can create havoc on anyones pc...Thru past experiences, I have found a quick fix for them by doing the following...

1. Have your Windows Xp CD in your Cd Drive and go to: (Assuming of course you are using Windows XP)

http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html

2. The main reason for using this utility is when you suspect there may be a problem with a Windows XP system file.

Perhaps you get a dialog box appear informing you of a problem with a .dll file, or your program will just not load! It is therefore worth checking to see if there are any corrupt system files using scannow sfc.

To do this simply go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem.

This will fix all memory errors and hopefully, help you out.
