Volourn
"Hades and volourn aren't real people nor are they representative of human kind maybe not even of mammals so i'd give trying to reason with them a miss, alanschu." Yeah, becuase by your definition, a human is someone who thinks and feels exactly as you do. Everyone reacts differently to different situations. That's what humans are all about about. Some people cry over spilled milk, others drink it, others ignore it, and so on. I hope you realize belittling someone else's humanity is human nature as well so welcome to the human race! "Especially considering his accident would probably make many people go "OMG! That was totally awesome!"" That, I admit, would be annoying; but I wouldn't let jerks like that twist my panties up. I think it's easier to state that if it doesn't happen. I'm not sure how I would react, but I'm betting that I'd be optimistic if it was the high-road. Volourn
Of course. That's true. No one knows how they'd act 100% in an actual situation. Like most, I'm just going by my gut feeling. Inspite of posting style, I'm not really an over dramatic guy. I just play one on the net. LOL DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250. Hildegard
On topic, whats with hilde/kinslayers snuff video fetish? was it not enough to simply post the article? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I posted the article and said if someone wishes a link for the video just ask, so what's your point? Hildegard
Talk about an overly dramatic title. LMAO P.S. I'm talking about the article itself not this thread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you watch the entire video?....the sniper a.k.a. JUBA already took out over 50 US soldiers in Southern Bagdad and he claims he killed 146 of them, it's not overly dramatic at all.
Volourn
No link to the video was shared so no I didn't see it. Sprry, but I don't really see where it's truly 'sapping' US moral espicially to the degree the title and part of the story tries to imply. Hence, its an overly dramatic title used to stir up garbage. alanschu
I agree. It's one thing I liked about a movie like Saving Private Ryan or the miniseries Band of Brothers. I remember reading testimonials from GIs that indicated that SPR captured the intensity pretty much spot on.

"Every time we dismount I'm sure everyone has got him in the back of their minds. He's a serious threat to us." Some worry that Juba is on his way to becoming a resistance hero, acclaimed by those Iraqis who distinguish between "good" insurgents, who target only Americans, and "bad" insurgents who harm civilians. The insurgent grapevine celebrates an incident last June when a four-strong marine scout sniper team was killed in Ramadi, all with shots to the head. Almost everybody claimed Juba did it, no regular insurgent/s can take out four marine scouts in one place at the same time and shoot them all with headshots using sniper. Doing things like that he's actually mocking the ability of US forces on the ground, if you want to watch the video say so and I'll PM you the link. alanschu
I'm not quite sure what to think about a guy that has archives of US (or any) soldiers getting killed. What is it about the US that you don't like, because I'm pretty sure that it's not the violent atmosphere
Fighter
Obviously this is all propoganda... This juba guy might not even exist and all the shootings are done by random people... Making a video out of it, is done to damage the moral of american public rather then soldiers imho... and boost moral 'insurgents' or potential recruits... I never once disputed his existnce? None of this proves that somehow he is 'sapping' US morale in Baghdad. As for the video, I don't care one wya or the other. I' ve seen other violent videos from Iraq and others wars. It's what I expect. They're violent. Hildegarrd is a known bigot against Amerikans and he pretend sthe rest of the world is innocent and ar ejust a victim of the US. He blames the US for Britain conquering Africa. R00fles! Hildegard
With stories like that about over 50 US soldiers being sniped by a mistery sharpshooter aka Juba in Southern Bagdad alone, would you like to go on a daily patrol there? I know I would be very very happy to be reassigned somewhere else, but that's just me. Edited January 12, 2006 by Hildegard
Volourn
"would you like to go on a daily patrol there?" If I were a soldier tained for such a thing, absolutely. Please, the soldiers in iraq know various people will try to kill them - no matter where theya re. While I'm sure they are each worrie dbaout possibly beinbg the next victim, I doubt this one guy is epicly 'sapping' their morale in Baghdad. Afterall, i'd thinkt he fact that over 2k soldiers have died in iraq would do more to 'sap' morale... until one realizes that a lot more insurgent shave died to the Amerikans... Like I said, hypertensive overdramatic title like this one is silly and does no one no justice. Edited January 12, 2006 by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250. Gabrielle
Snipers are elusive hunters, in order to take one out you need to send one after them. To take out a sniper you send in one of your own to hide in the areas where this one is at. At times I question the military "intelligence" when it comes to such things.
