It would not be named after Star Trek. It would be named after two sloops, four schooners, a motorboat, and two carriers.

They should keep the tradition of naming ships. If you watch Star Trek than you would know they carried on the tradition of ship names, naming them from old vessels of the past. Intrepid, Excelsior and Reliant to name a few.
