11XHooah Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Hey guys, what's happening? Damn it's been a while. About 18 weeks since I was last talking to you guys on here. So how have things been going? Any good debates? :D Well my plans to become a normal Infantryman changed during OSUT. I scored high enough on my PT to get offered a Special Forces contract or a Ranger contract, so I took Ranger. So I start airborne school on monday, and then I go to RIP sometime in January. Should be fun  So anyway, I see that obsidian finally got those damn patches released :D If I get some time I'll try them out and see if the game is any better. Well, if anyone has questions about Infantry training or anything of the sort, I'd be glad to answer them. Oh yeah, is the green dragon still around War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. --John Stewart Mill-- "Victory was for those willing to fight and die. Intellectuals could theorize until they sucked their thumbs right off their hands, but in the real world, power still flowed from the barrel of a gun.....you could send in your bleeding-heart do-gooders, you could hold hands and pray and sing hootenanny songs and invoke the great gods CNN and BBC, but the only way to finally open the roads to the big-eyed babies was to show up with more guns." --Black Hawk Down-- MySpace: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=44500195
Krookie Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I'm relitivly new, so I don't know you. But anyway, welcome back!
Child of Flame Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 One of my friends is serving in the Rangers...somewhere, right now. Watch your ass when you're deployed. It's good to know you're still vertical.
Child of Flame Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 And yes, the Green Dragon is still around, but I think he's sleeping now. Do you see what I did there? Get it?
Dark Moth Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Hey, welcome back! (w00t) Congrats on getting the Ranger contract! And yes, the Green Dragon is alive and well.

Darkside Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Hey man, welcome back! There's been a sad lack of gun pictures since you left. Congratulations on the contract, kick some ass for us.
11XHooah Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 A lack of gun pictures you say? Argh!!! :D Well, here is what I was using throughout most of my training (minus the vertical grip of course). The M16a4 with the M68 sight. So much more fun than using iron sights. Reveilled Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Ah, you missed a fun-filled 18 weeks! The last few months have been packed with secret forums, silly semantics based arguments, some welcome entrances, and a very dramatic exit, stage left, for the man with the #1 postcount! And as to guns... Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!
Janmanden Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 It's things like this and that, that makes me fear that Jack Thompson, brrrr, maybe got a point... (Signatures: disabled)

zer"0" Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Humans and their guns ... I do not want to get into a flamewar or anything. But pray tell , what is so great about being trained to kill people? Oh yeah, nice to see you are still in one piece. Good luck and keep your head down.

Darkside Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 What? They're not just tools of war, that is a common misconception among heathens. For example, how can you not see the art in this?
Janmanden Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I was kinda hoping the pun would be something revolving around self-study as opposed to being trained, but I really prefer to take my frustration and anger out on games instead...more fun and it only hurts myself....hm.... 11XHooah Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 Now this right here is a sexy weapon. This baby was fun as hell to fire in basic.
