November 20, 200520 yr Can someone tell me what the time frame is between Revan ordering the Exile to activate the mass shadow generator on Malachor v (end of Mandalorian wars), and when the Exile actually blows it up (end of K2)? I have read that it happened ten years later, just need some clarification...
November 21, 200520 yr http://pc.ign.com/objects/608/608569.html says that it's been 5 years between the 2 games, and during one of the cutscenes/loading screens of KOTOR1, it said there were 2 years since the Madalorian wars and the events of K1. So, I guess that makes 7 years?
November 21, 200520 yr Revan ordering the Exile to activate it? It was Exile ordering someone else to activate it. We don't know if Revan was involved.
November 26, 200520 yr Revan's plan Exile executed his plan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With Bao-Dur making the Mass Shadow Generator.
November 26, 200520 yr The Mandalorian Wars lasted from 3,963 to 3,960 BBY and ended with the Battle of Malachor V, where the MSG was activated for the first time. KOTOR II takes place in 3,951 BBY. So there are nine years.

November 26, 200520 yr Revan ordering the Exile to activate it?It was Exile ordering someone else to activate it. We don't know if Revan was involved. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Revan told the Exile, who told Bao, to activate it.
November 26, 200520 yr Well, it could have been Exile themself who activated it, if the controls were very simple. After all, if Exile simply retold Revan's order to Bao, why was it Exile who suffered?
November 26, 200520 yr He was the only Jedi to survive that was on the surface. He cut himself off from the Force in order to survive.
November 27, 200520 yr Well, it could have been Exile themself who activated it, if the controls were very simple. After all, if Exile simply retold Revan's order to Bao, why was it Exile who suffered? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe she had second thoughts before giving the final order. When it was executed she felt all of those deaths at once, which i would imagine would be a horrifying experiance.
December 1, 200520 yr Wait i dont get what the MSG did. did do something to all the mandlorian ships to win the war or i completly missed this part. Just tell me what the MSG is and what it does

I...ah, wrote about it in my fanfic, :"> LOL " (Disclaimer-I only wrote what I thought might have happened...)
December 1, 200520 yr Ok i must have missed this covo in the game so the ending was even more screwed up for me... WHO tells you what the MSG is, who built it ect.???
December 2, 200520 yr When i finished the game though i just threw kriea down the core nothing about MSG. I thought i was supposed to turn it on or something
December 2, 200520 yr When i finished the game though i just threw kriea down the core nothing about MSG. I thought i was supposed to turn it on or something <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LS option blows up the planet with the MSG. DS stays on the planet and revels in their evil, not destroying the planet. It was an incomplete, rushed ending, with lots of cool stuff cut out, though, which is why it makes many people confused.
December 2, 200520 yr Revan built HK, Vader built 3P0, what did the Exile ever build? ya, what did the exile build?
December 3, 200520 yr Ok i must have missed this covo in the game so the ending was even more screwed up for me... WHO tells you what the MSG is, who built it ect.??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Throughout various conversations with Bao-Dur we learn that it was he who destroyed Malachor upon the order of the exile, and the name of the Mass Shadow Generator is only spoken for the first time on Malachor itself. We're never implicitly told what it is, but excerpts from various dialogs point to it using the gravity well of Malachor to crush everything and everyone on the planet. The exile was on the bridge of a starship either in orbit or a distance away, and he/she felt the deaths of everyone on the planet. Such an overwhelming ripple in the Force would be enough to kill someone, so the exile had to sever his/her connection to the Force.
