Gabrielle Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 (edited) One was action and the other horror Of course one did have Lance Henrikson in it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They both had him on it I thought? Well I know Aliens does because I have the DVD. Edited November 5, 2005 by Gabrielle
Darque Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Nope, Alien is Henrikson free. It does have Tom Skerritt though.
Diamond Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Film producers approach sequels "Dang! This film made some serious $$$, lets squeeze another one out quick and ride the hype!" I think the argument with movies is valid in most cases. But sometimes it happens that sequel is better than original. Then we get trilogies and N-logies though. While game developers go "lets take everything we learned while making the first game and make the sequel an even better one!" Not always the case. Sometimes the argument follows the pattern from movie industry (Unreal and Unreal 2 ).
Diamond Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 But sometimes it happens that sequel is better than original. Then we get trilogies and N-logies though. On the second thought... Matrix 1/2/3 Marketing also plays its role.
Volourn Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Just like the first one. LOLOLOLOLOL DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Diamond Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I've heard Matrix 2 and 3 really really suck. You've heard the truth.
Gabrielle Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I've heard Matrix 2 and 3 really really suck. You've heard the truth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Must be why I never bothered to go see them.
Darque Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I saw the first one... I'd say it was just "ok"... I couldn't see a reason to watch the other two... maybe RPGs have made the whole "you are teh chosen one" concept a bit too painful for me.
Gabrielle Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 The first one was alright and they should have left it there, no sequels.
alanschu Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 One was action and the other horror Of course one did have Lance Henrikson in it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was always a fan of Michael Biehn. I liked him in Terminator, The Rock, and Aliens. Plays those roles perfectly and are some of my favourite characters (well, The Rock his role is a little short).
