metadigital Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 What's an Alpha unit for? OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Deraldin Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 What's an Alpha unit for?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> An Alpha unit is a special unit that you designate. When an alpha unit is occupying any foreign supply centre, that becomes a new home centre for your country thereby allowing you to build units in the province. When you gain a new home supply centre in this way you must choose one of your current supply centres to deactivate so that it can no longer build units. This change occurs after your winter builds. This allows you to shift your home supply centres to the front lines and enable you to more quickly summon reinforcements as you push farther into enemy territory.

Deraldin Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Guys. Anyone willing to replace me? Please? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most of us already have countries. Didn't Eldar want to participate? Why not ask him?
EnderAndrew Posted September 4, 2005 Author Posted September 4, 2005 The German Chancellor would like to make it clear that any attempts to invade the Fatherland will invoke serious retaliation. We welcome all peaceful peoples. In fact, A glorious welcoming committee is right now being sent to greet the neighbours and invite them round for sauerkraut. England should just try something; we shall meet them at Jutland and make them sorry. Austria is very dear to German hearts. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The deadline passed a few hours ago, but I've been sick and I just crawled out of bed. I'll have the results posted here in a few minutes.
Skynet Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Now I'm no expert at Diplomacy, but I think I'm correct in saying that France isn't allowed to move its fleet into Burgandy. "Who could blame Skynet? He's such a cute, innocent, steel-bolted robot." -Gauntlet

EnderAndrew Posted September 4, 2005 Author Posted September 4, 2005 I had moved it into Pic, and somehow it ended up in Bur. I blame the Sudafed.
Deraldin Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 I had moved it into Pic, and somehow it ended up in Bur. I blame the Sudafed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was wondering what was with the green dot in Picardy. That clears things up nicely.

EnderAndrew Posted September 10, 2005 Author Posted September 10, 2005 I have only received orders from 3 nations and the deadline is looming!
EnderAndrew Posted September 10, 2005 Author Posted September 10, 2005 There are still 2 nations that have not submitted moves! Bad France! Bad Turkey! Since I don't have a graphics program here at work to do the map, I am extending the deadline another 3 hours. I hope those players log on in the next 3 hours.
Archmonarch Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 By my complex and mind-boggling calculations, 6:40 + 3 = 9:40. It is now 11:05. Can we expect adjudication soon? And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had

Deraldin Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 *crickets chirping* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hah! I wonder what happened to Ender.
