Darkside Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I've noticed an alarming increase in fangirl (and fanboy) activity around here. For those who will derail any thread in hopes of rambling about their chosen idol *coughSilverRoyalDLShrykeMeandawholelotmorecough*, I thought it might be best to try and contain it to a single thread. So here we are. Talk about your favorite singer, actor (or actress), and characters and remember one thing: it's okay to admit you're a rabid fangirl/boy. I figured I'd get the ball rolling with a few of my favorites: And here's one that I love for a different reason than the others. I have never in my life seen a character that acts so much like yours truly. Canada rocks! There's dozens that I left out just so you guys could take over for me. But if you don't mention one of favorites, I'll have to come back and do all the ranting myself. *Dun Dun Duuuuun* P.S. I know the Hoff will show up around here somewhere, just try not to make the thread all Hoff, will ya?
thepixiesrock Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I am a huge Frank Black/Black Francis fan. Kaftan Barlast Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 That doesnt count, the differance between being a fan and a fanboy is huge. I mean, would you like to spend 20 years alone on a desert island with Frank Black? http://sphax666.free.fr/Ta DISCLAIMER: Do not take what I write seriously unless it is clearly and in no uncertain terms, declared by me to be meant in a serious and non-humoristic manner. KOTORFanactic Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 In music, my favourites are Seether and Disturbed. Great music in my opinion. In movies, none really, I don't really see movies because they star a certain actor or actress. My favourites would have to be The Rock, Sean Connery, Harrison Ford, and Kelly Hu. In computer games, Bastila Shan of KOTOR by far. In T.V. The Simpsons. In comedians, Peter Kay and Lee Evans. Two of the funniest men in the world. It isn't total fanboy devotion, just a big fan.
Dark Moth Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 (edited) For a second, I thought this was a KOTOR character fan thread. Guess we'll have to stick with real people. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Darth Launch posts a pic of Carth here... :D  I'm too lazy to post a pic, but I'll just name them, although I wouldn't exactly call myself a 'fanboy'. There are lot of others, but here are a few. Dave Chappelle (so funny) The Simpsons (a great show) Ben Rothleisberger (Steeler's savior, I think I got his name right) Tobey Maguire (just because he was a good Spiderman) Quentin Tarantino (even if Kill Bill was a tad graphic) H.G. Wells; J.R.R. Tolkein (both are geniuses) Kate Beckinsale (so hot, reminds me of Bastila Kelly Hu (also hot, did the voice of Visas) Mothman (the terror of Point Pleasant) Okay, I added that last one just for laughs Sorry. Kor Qel Droma Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Frank Black does tend to get a bit sweaty, so don't forget your towel the the pixies rock ... Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Lucius Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Who is the guy in the first picture, Darkside? Looks cool. DENMARK! It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.
Archmonarch Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Colonel John Sheppard, Stargate Atlantis. Played by Joe Flanigan. And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had
Darkside Posted July 23, 2005 Author Posted July 23, 2005 (edited) He is Joe Flanigan, playing the part of Lt. Colonel John Shepard from Stargate: Atlantis. And he's hot. (It was also decided in the look-alike thread that he was a near perfect match as Atton, before it got locked. A moment of silence please. :'( :'( ) Edit: Darn you Archie! Foiled again!
