Walsingham
Just don't be seen. Poison the bastards beard wash. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What kind of mage washes his beard? Unless you'd suggest some high level mages would drink such a liquid, on the sly. And yeah. Mages have to be really sly to survive at low level, and fighters have to be sly to survive at high level. Gabrielle
Meteor Storm and Simulacrums I always found worthless. Horridwilting is good. A mage should be powerful like a paladin with their uber +5 hacking sword that does +12 damage against evil.
Drakron
Time Stop is not even that good, its simply going to waste one of the 9th level slots so the wizard can cast a buch of lower level spells, it can be praticable at times but not always, expecialy against enemies of his levels that are likely to not be affected much by whatever he is casting. Cantousent
I just don't see the big deal with the spell. The only thing I'd say is, make it apply to only one area. Single player gamers won't notice the difference and the multiplayer crowd should be happier. Walsingham
Speaking as someone who hadn't the patience to ever complete an RPG as a spellslinger, because of the tediousness at low levels, AND the useless HP issue, I say let them. I enjoy stabbing wordjockeys at low level, and it only makes it better when they get to high level and think they're invulnerable. "It wasn't lies. Cantousent
Scares the hell out of me, Walsingham, in more ways than one. The thing is, should the game be geared for the single or multi player crowd? I suspect there are more single player while the multi player crowd generates the most excitement.
