Notice that locked door to the sublevel that you couldn't open right near where you find this droid? There was supposed to be a big secret there, which would have made the droid's presence there more than relevant. Unfortunately an unexpected deadline hit the programmers, and the material was lost... For more information, look around these fora for the term "cut content".
