Ivan the Terrible Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 EASILY my favorite cutscene of the first game is the Dark Side cutscene en route to the Star Forge, and the biggest two reasons for it both relate to Revan. 1) Admiral Dodonna says that the Republic is taking heavy losses and needs to pull back. As she says it, the game focuses on Bastila giving Revan a sidelong glance, followed by Revan giving a very subtle shake of his head. Bastila then proceeds to urge the Republic fleet to attack. I loved this. LOVED it. More subtle moments like these will be very appreciated. All through the game, Revan came across as kind of generic; given my dialogue options, I really couldn't imagine the character as the charismatic leader of the Sith. In that one moment, I saw the Revan everyone was describing; the ruthless, calculating war leader rather than Mr. Vanilla. 2) At the end, as Bastila describes how 'all our enemies will be destroyed in a single, glorious day', the look on Revan's face was priceless. I had never seen that grin before, and I think it only shows up once after; when you've beaten the game and are standing before the cheering Sith masses. Please give us more of that evil, sinister grin. At that moment, it made me feel so deliciously sinister. B) I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you But I get the feeling that you don't like it What's with all the screaming? You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Agreed. Evil grins are in. Goatees however.... Rule All! No evil laughs though.
Catalyst Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Please see the Evil Overlord List for things not to do when being evil (goatees are definately out).

Darth_Gandalf Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 AMEN to that! I thought those were the only real times when "evil Revan" showed through. And as for the goatees, I like how my Revan head (you know the one, he looks kind of silly with an eye scar and a lip beard) grew a goatee as he slowlty turned to the darkside. That was cool! My only hangup was that there weren't more head with facial hair! I mean, look at Qui-gon and Obi-wan! Beards all over! And these guys are all clean-shaven? No way! "You shall not pass!"
Jedi Master D Murda Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I whole heartedly agree with that. I love to see that grin. You can actually see some evil emotion... priceless. Hopefully they will have more of that. I also agree with you Darth Gandalf, I would've like to see a lot of hair as well, I guess it's the way of the younger generation.
