Sinbreaker
Is there a set number of levels you have to reach before you can rise to the prestige class? If I remember correctly, I transformed from Consular to Master at Level 15. Is there any way to do it sooner? Likewise, what is the highest level you can reach? I was around 25-26, but I had a ways to go, and was never able to max myself out like I did in KOTOR I
Cassidy
Why did you make duplicate threads with different names?
Draken
1. Don't be a dumbass and duplicate threads. 2. You can only level to level 50. 3. You MUST be level 15, and have encountered Visas to go to Prestige class. 5. Don't be a dumbass and duplicate threads. Sinbreaker
When I first posted the other one, the forum said an error occured, and I would not be able to put it up. So I posted this other one, and then it turned out that the other one made it in too. I didin't mean to duplicate it on purpose. Level 50? Is it possible to reach that high? I went through as much combat as I could and I was level 15 consular, level 10-12 master by the time I fought Kreia. I was LSM if that made any difference...and usually, I didin't have Kreia in my party, so I guess I didin't have her experience bonus as much. alanschu
It's only really possible by cheating the system. Even if you use Kriea a lot, you'll still finish the game around level 28-30. Exploiting the bug on Korriban is probably the only way to successfully pull it off...unless there's a different place that a respawning monster. There are lots of side quests. Kreia adds an XP bonus (50%, I think) when she is a member of the party (which I was pretty happy to sacrifice to not have her butting into my game after the first run through), and when you are granted the Prestige Class you will jump to the next level (great news if you have just acceded a new level when you trigger the Kreia dialogue). Sinbreaker
I did all the sidquests I could, that is keeping in mind the bugged-natured of the game. I think the only one(s) I could not finish was apprehending those criminals. btw, in the first KOTOR, the beasts wandering around dantooine and other places respawn after you exit the particular area you just hunted them in. This doesn't happen in KOTOR 2. Is that a bug or intentional? How do you trigger the bug on Korriban?
alanschu
Find the remains of the Jedi that spawn the Hssiss. Everytime you do it, 2 more hssiss respawn. Try this.....repeatedly use it over and over very fast. This will spawn a ton of them. Then use force wave to stun ALL of them, and then use force storm to kill ALL of them. Easily the most bang for your buck with force storm, as you hit 50 guys with one attack. I would immediately level up (and I was about level 20 or so) everytime I did it, and I tried it about 3 times. You just gain so much xp for killing them, and you do it by the horde! Actually, not all of the wandering monsters respawn in K1 on Dantooine, just one or two (the one near the cave, if I recall correctly). mstormrage
I finished almost all the sidequests (except for the buggy Telos fuel quest) and ended up being Level 32 (L15 Sentinel/L17 Watchman). I also had Kreia with me almost all the time so I gained a slight experience bonus there.

metadigital
It comes from a very bad (and politically insesnitive) joke that has some person going to the doctor to find out why they have such charisma issues ... anyway, the GP sends the person to a specialist ... blah blah blah ... and the specialist says you have "Zackery disease". "Oh my," says the patient, "is it serious? What is it?" "Your face is zackery like your arse." says the man of asian descent. Sinbreaker
Yeah, I guess not having Kreia with me as much kept me down somehwat. I just checked my last saved game, and I leveled 16 Consular, 11 Master. It seems a bit strange to me that obsidian would allow you the possibility to level up to 50 but not provide a legitimate means(i.e., not exploiting bugs *cough*) of reaching it. alanschu
Heh...there's no pleasing people They could have capped it lower, but then people would complain that the game artificially limits their player. They probably allowed level 50 because it was easy enough to do.
Marka Ragnos
I don't remember anybody complaining from being capped at level 20 in KotOR 1.
alanschu
I personally know some that didn't like it. However, they are traditional console gamers, and I know that one of them fought the random spawns on Tatooine just levelling up like he'd do in Final Fantasy games. He reached level 20 after like his second planet, and felt it was silly that his character would never get any stronger throughout the game. He also was like level 10 scoundrel or something, because he fought hordes of Rakghouls on Taris to level up his skills.
