Timothy Zahn's Spectre of the Past says clearly that Exar Kun and Palpatine were two most powerful practitioners of the dark side in history. That could save a lot of them during the attack on Geonosis, it could kill Grievous and it could probably "disable" suited Vader. LS Revan and LS Exile v.s. the Droid army on Geonosis? I guess in the second match Sidious and Pre Suit Vader would win. But the first match.... i would say sidious would win but i am not sure if vader would be a handicap to him.
