Just played both now.

 

K1 HK-47 can be considered has the original, fun droid.

 

K2 Hk-47 has a different voice somehow, however, I find it more funny than K1 HK-47

I think HK 2 suffered a lot from the loss of the droid planet/factory. I imagine there was a lot of pressure to include him in Kotor 2 because he was such a popular character in Kotor 1 (didn't he win some award for best character?). But he seems a bit lost in Kotor 2. If Obsidian ever had a clear purpose for him, it's now on the cutting room floor.

The HK-47 voice acting in K2 was better (it had a more... condescending tone that fit the character better). But apart from that and a few priceless lines, I liked the orginal one better.

I wholeheartedly (sp) agree. I have never laughed so hard when he was mocking Bastila and Carth. Priceless.

Organics not just meatbags make all the difference, though KOTOR 2 has some funny lines as well. Besides wasn't Organic Meatbag a term used to describe Malak that Revan thought amusing?

Thats why his behaviour core was permanently wired so that he would regard all organics as "meatbags", causing Malak no end of stress
