Indeed, but with Obsidian announcing a new project I really have high hopes for a late Dec release now.

It seems that orthodox calendar thing was a joke. Especially now, because I think they would want to get started on Neverwinter Nights 2.

me to :p but i try not to, it does seem though that they have kept their options open by saying "winter" soooo

Well, NWN2 is still in early development, and they don't have alot of manpower behind it at the moment, so I'm guessing they're still finishing up TSL at the moment before moving most of their guys over to NWN2.

bah theres always one who has to spoil it!

spoil sport :)

There are two teams working on both games. The NWN2 team is the much smaller team right now, but they will absorb people from the KOTOR team once that project is 100% done.

As was already said by Adam they are two separate teams. I'm just curious, but is the current NWN2 team taken from KotOR2 duties to work on NWN2? If so, that means the game is close to completion and polishing.

They've already said you can basically play the game from start to finish, but it's only in alpha/beta stage still.

Just FYI.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear

Yeah... didn't that come from IGN or something? They were being smartasses about how LA was considering February 2005 as Winter 2004. It wasn't LA's joke, it was the media's joke - LA would, if they were going by the "Orthodox Christian Calendar", definitely specify that. And if they did that seriously, well... it would be a joke anyway. People don't just decide to use the chinese zodiak calendar for release dates, do they?

The longer it takes the better, because it will be a much better game if it takes long to make.

In any case, *Obsidian's* deadline is much earlier than Dec. -after that we'll be waiting for Lucas Arts.

Zwangvolle Plage!

Well i guess we now know why Obsidian was hiring everything with a pulse...

I know the truth! BioWare passed NWN on to Obsidian in an hokes of making the obby guys forget about TSL, clearing a way for Jade Empire. Lol ;)
