I actually picked up the first game not too long ago, haven't tried it yet as I was playing FFX for the first time.

It's not bad. It reminds me a lot of LOD although its a seperate adventure, the old characters carry over with some extra powers. My wife and I like playing those sort of things.

 

The opening is weird, you just appear in front on FV and get sent on a bunch of missions. Something missing from the manual about the backstory ?

 

I think Xmen piqued with that particular type of game.

 

Ah my favourite FF story was never over fond of the sphere grid though.

Arrive , throw a couple of axes at Cazic Thule , game over

 

 

Didnt really mind I'd had enough by then.
