ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Um... I had a crush on Susan. *hides* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which one is Susan ? I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Judge Hades Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 The Doctor's granddaughter, way back in the first and second season of Doctor Who.
Synaesthesia Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 My favorite was Remembrance of the Daleks. The horrorified look on the Doctor's face when he saw a dalek going up stairs was downright great. That was one of my favourites as well. Synaesthesia, I am over 3 decades old. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, okay. When you said you'd been a fan since "The Unearthly Child", I figured you'd have to have been at least 45 or so (given that Dr Who started im 1963, wasn't it?).
Judge Hades Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Yes, it was started in 1963, but I have been a fan since I saw the first episode. I have seen every single episode that has aired in the US at least twice and a few episodes that haven't been aired at all.

Gorth Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Some time in June perhaps. June ? Is that the time leading up to E3 or some similar event ? “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Some time in June perhaps. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> June ? Is that the time leading up to E3 or some similar event ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> E3 is in May. Not likely to have anything to show at E3 except NwNII. I was just making a prediction based on what was said in an interview. And only if the game is based on existing technology (which seems likely in view of what Feargus said about making their own RPG). I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. I think if they are making BG3, there will be something said at E3, but if they are making something else, E3 will probably be a little too soon to expect anything (except the New Jersey forum, that is )

TheDom Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I just finished Torment again (its 4am, dear god) and found myself nearly in tears. Wow, some of the plotting and writing in that game is fantastic. But then, I'm more than likely just preaching to the choir in these forums with comments like that anyhow. In any case, I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) that Chris Avellone was the lead on Torment, as well as KoToR II of course. The fact that Chris headed the team for KoToR II, along with Obsidian's previous comments with regard to internal rotation etc, implies that his team will be working the mystery third project (or, as the case may be, *are* working it). I don't know about everyone else, but the prospect of a new game with strong involvement by Chris and his team turns me on. Even more so, potentially, than the other games, because this one might not be restricted to a single year development time and/or probably won't be tied to a company which is slowly but surely sinking like the Titanic. Not, uh, that I'm referring to specific incidents here. Mind you, I'm also eager to see what NWN2 turns out to be like. It could, after all, impress me even more than the two afore-mentioned titles! It'd have to work pretty damned hard to outstrip Torment for me, but you never know. The future, it is exciting indeed! I don't suppose anyone wants to raise their hands as being involved with Jersey? Y

BG3 sounds unlikely unless Mr. Morgan is very creative in dealing with the truth (i.e. no Bioware license and no sequel) “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. BG3 sounds unlikely unless Mr. Morgan is very creative in dealing with the truth (i.e. no Bioware license and no sequel) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was in one of the follow up KOTOR II interviews I think. Basically it was about negotiating with publishers in jan/feb and that was shortly followed by Mr Morgan talking about how they were working on the third project. And how it had gone into pre production. Then Feargus was talking about Obsidian making their own RPG. And how following NWNII they would have at least part of their own engine. It therefore seems likely that A, it's a publishers property. B, It's going to run on an existing engine. There are lots of wild guesses you could make in view of what publishers it might be ect. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
