Seriously, is this an accidental (albeit happy) accident of me choosing a long username, or is this the same way for all the users, thereby validating my theory that web designers are too sneaky for their own good?

mine's always first, as well. it's just a feature of the board.

Your name always appears first on the message boards on your computer.

No wonder we all have egos who think our opinions #1 - This is the board boss' way of feeding our egos even more.

As I know, names are ordered by last time of page retrieval - that is why the self-user is always first.
