In the room that you rescue the Exile from, there is a computer on the right side of the room in which you can do something with the power supply (can't quite remember what, it may just be the access code for the power supply). Then on the bridge, you can transfer the power for the door to the secondary power supply and then shut it down. By the way, this should really be in the spoiler forum.
