Smiling Bandit Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Simply put, the Prima guide impliues that the sole reason to go for watchman is ranged attacks and sneaking. I prefer neither. My question is whather or not this PrC has something else to offer. Since I'm generally of the opinion that the Prima guides are worthles wastes of paper anyhow, I figured I'd check here. No spoilers, of course, but I just dislike using mines myself. At least, in KotOR they were rather annoying, expensive, and slow to use and so I preferrred battle or force-powers.
jaguars4ever Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Well, the sneak attack feats are free for the Jedi Watchman, so you get them no problem every couple levels. The superior two weapon fighting and lightsaber specialization feats for the Weapon Master are not free however - you must invest feats into them. In that respect the Watchman's sneak attacks gain more value as they'll always be active once you incapacitate your enemies with wave, stun, insanity or what not. Furthermore, the Jedi Watchman has THE BEST SAVING THROWS in the game, hands down. No other class, Jedi or Sith, can compete with the Watchman's saving throws. Sentinel + Watchman = Best Class Combo.

Sadly, I don't like the sentinal's special abilities; they overlap too much with the high saving throws. Still, the skills mean I'll take it anyway. My second time around I'll have to go Sith Lord.

I prefer using my implant abilities for other things like a level D implant that boost my attributes.
213374U Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 The question is... is it possible not to powerlame your way through the game? - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
