Berserk Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Or maybe they're working on a game based on the license, but haven't gotten far enough yet to publicly announce it. It's not like I think they're going to let that very expensive license go to waste just because some fanboys whine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They were more than happy to discuss what kind of direction they wanted to take with Fallout, until they discovered the loudest fanbase that a franchise can be "graced" with. Meh, I guess that it is like Phosphor says: FO3 stays on the backburner until Oblivion is almost finished..
roshan Posted January 10, 2005 Author Posted January 10, 2005 Those bastards... the should leave fallout the **** alone!!!!!
Phosphor Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 They were more than happy to discuss what kind of direction they wanted to take with Fallout, until they discovered the loudest fanbase that a franchise can be "graced" with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They talked about what little they could at the point of the license being acquired, which only makes sense. People would be interested to know what the plans are and so forth. As we saw from the interviews at the time, there wasn't much that could be talked about for a variety of reasons (mostly because it was too early), so it's logical that the game has somewhat faded into the background. I doubt that the most vocal of the FO fanbase has anything to do with why nothing is being said about the game right now. Oblivion is Bethesda's "flagship" game right now, and the one furthest along in development. Once that's done and out, I'm sure FO3 will be getting lots of attention.
taks Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 phosphor's probably right. bethsoft could probably not care less about the lunatic fringe fallout fanbase that has so many strong opinions about the game. they are traditionalists and probably want nothing changed from the original, including the story. they just happen to be loud, that's all. taks comrade taks... just because.
