What determines if you get Mira or the Wookie?

whether you are dark or light

 

If you are light (or only kinda bad) you get Mira

 

If you are already well on the way to being dark then you get the wookie

If your light( or dark

 

Damn dat **** sucks.

I'd rather not have a party member than have a wookie... I really hate wookies. Why couldnt Czerka just keep them enslaved like I told them to in KotOR 1?

I wanted to influence the Wookie to be good and Mirato be evil that pisses me off.

You can influence Mira to be bad, you just need to get her when you are still ls or neutral, If you are DS enough to get the wookie then I am not sure if you can turn it around to make him good

not sure about the wookie but other characters you can influence out of the dark side right? i could have swore Visas was ls by the end of the game.

I agree that you can make Visas LS, but you have to be DS to get the wookie (if you are LS or neutral you get Mira) so you would have to get evil enough to get the wookie and then change your mind and become LS
