Question to all who may have contacts in the game biz, the KOTOR site says the release date is 12/06/04, some say 12/07/04....some websites such as walmart and bestbuy say 12/09/04. I am wondering, what is the true release date? when will stores actually have it there and selling it? I need to know when to call into work

No one knows. I have of yet seen a retail store shipping on the 6th so lucasarts must be leaving it up in the air. Come to think of it I don't even think they started preorders on Kotor2.com, with one week or so remaining.

Actually they have. Go to lucasarts.com and then choose store.

Most sites list the ship date as 12/06/04 thus they get the game on the 7th and that is the release date.

 

As for walmart and bestbuy they aren't game specialty stores so they usually get their shipments a few days late.

the places you are looking at for prices will have the game in stock on different dates that is the reason they all have different ''release dates''

The only time I've seen a game that wasn't in stores on time was once for fable and that was because of a storm the night before and Media Play said they couldn't ship in the storm so it was a day late. So for me I'll be getting it on the 6th or heads will roll even if it's only barbie heads...

Nevermind, I just called Media play, they said that it looks like It will be there on the 7th... I'll be there on the 6th just in case though...

Gamestop said the 7th and possibly the 6th when they get them in since it is such a big title. Next monday or tuesday!
