Bobba Fett Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Just wondering if is there a chance that the PC gamers might have something to lock forward to from Obsidian this Christmas, to help deal with the wait
OrganisedChaos Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Hopefully there will be something. Notice how we pc'ers keep geting left out? I noticed in the list of extras on the trilogy dvd there is an x-box demo for battlefront-but NOT a pc one. Yet another colaboration between Lucasarts and Microsoft
nyugisszorny Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Just wondering if is there a chance that the PC gamers might have something to lock forward to from Obsidian this Christmas, to help deal with the wait <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a good idea.
aktus Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 yes please, a demo for Christmas which includes 7 planets and 10 PCs.
OrganisedChaos Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 yes please, a demo for Christmas which includes 7 planets and 10 PCs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd settle for the Peragus area which was featured in the XBN beta.
Bobba Fett Posted September 20, 2004 Author Posted September 20, 2004 Just wondering if is there a chance that the PC gamers might have something to lock forward to from Obsidian this Christmas, to help deal with the wait <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not holding my breath for LA but I just hope that the people in Obsidian remember that the PC players have been with them from day one
GhostofAnakin Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I'm hoping that Lucasart's announcement of a February PC release is just their little joke to us PC gamers, so we'll be surprised when Santa (aka Lucasarts) releases the PC version in time for Christmas. Naso Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Eh, Star Wars has really begun to leave the mainstream and go towards the little kiddie market. I know there was plenty of merchandising for the OT but still, it's going further and that's why there's such a console empahsis: consoles the the generally simplistic games sell to little kids and are much more giftable than a computer for x-mas and birthdays. I mean, after Jar Jar, can we really be suprised?
Uthar Wynn 01 Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Developers hardly ever put out demos for RPGs, and I agree with the policy for the most part.

jaguars4ever Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 A PC demo for Christmas would be an awesome idea.
Forever Cast in Deepest Night Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 The did not have a demo for KOTOR so i will doubt that Obsidian or Lucas Arts will release a demo either. Besides i thought the developers had already decided and stated that there would not be a demo.
Max315 Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 If there going to release the XBOX version early, they have to at least give us something, whether that something will be in the form of a demo, we will just have to wait and see....
Meshugger Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I don't expect a demo, but a high-res trailer (640x480) would be welcome. Bobba Fett Posted September 21, 2004 Author Posted September 21, 2004 There is a demo for Doom 3 for crying out loud. There have been demos for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy and many LA games, why not KOTOR II?? And I really think this would be a nice gesture to the PC Gamers after the release dates punch
Naso Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Demos are a lot of work though. I'd much rather see more work on things like nicer textures for the pc, extra npc faces or stuff if they have time, though that'd probably be really hard to do at this point in the dev...
