Dead Skin Mask Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 You're a shaved wookie at the start. That would explain the PC's mysterious rash when he or she wakes up on Peragus. Cheers!
Judge Hades Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Why not? Isn't the idea that he gets all those hit die and skills from use and practice as well, maybe even through the Force? Skills, such as treat injury, will be connected to Force powers such as Heal, for example, in this sequel. There's obviously a corellation. Yes, but does it explain a low level of COmputer Use, Demolitions, and Security? Level loss doesn't occur in d20 Star Wars like that and the way is a poor implementation of the rules system.
Sarkile Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 New trends in technology could explain that to an extent. Thing is I can picture a level 2 or 3 character as a veteran of a war. Not the most decorated soldier, but he could've been there.
Fardragon Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Maybe he slipped through a dimesional gateway and encountered some D&D vampires who drained his levels before he could escape back to the Star Wars universe (I've known stranger things happen in P&P). Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!
FireWolf Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 I think the loss of connection with the force is the best way to go. Some kind of tragedy in the PC's past or some other influence separates you from the force and you have to re-learn your affinity with it.
alanschu Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 A pretty lame explanation. Except that you have no idea about the implementation about it. You're just mad because you're a Jedi.

Sounds like quite the flaw in the d20 rules....glad Obsidian is making it better.
