Hi guys. 

I'm just curious if Obsidian would love to make a MMO in the style of PoE. 

I used to play a game called The Legend of Mir 2 (dunno if you've ever heard of it) but it was incredible and very close to your style of work.

I'd love to see an MMO set in Eora but I'd rather see an outside studio make it, kinda like how Bethesda did Elder Scrolls Online.

I'd say it's possible with Microsoft's acquisition but nothing is announced yet.  Perhaps after Avowed releases and it gets pretty good marks and sales they'll look into it.

Fair warning, MMO's don't really have a great lifespan and aren't viewed well in retrospect so from a market perspective, there is a high probability that Microsoft will not greenlight and MMO, and would require a combination of good luck and a successful formula.

It would be the first obsidian game I didn't buy.  Which isn't a reason to not do it, I just hate MMOs.

 

12 people jumping around doing the same mission as me isn't great for immersion
