Hello everyone,

I recently finished PoE 1, just started PoE 2 today. and one thing really confuses me and kind of break immersion: the day/night cycle speed. When I talk to the NPC, the game goes through a day/night full cycle every minute, which is very confusing. For example, the conversation before recruiting Xoti lasted about 4 minutes in real time and I went from day to night to day in game exactly 4 times during this conversation. The same thing happened when I met Aloth with 3 day/night/day cycles passing by the end of the conversation. How come the cycle is so fast? And is there a way to slow it down?

This sounds very odd, and something appears to be bugged with your setup. Are you playing on a console or a computer?

What you are describing has never happened to me. I have also never heard of this before.

Thank you for your answers. I play on PC (Steam version) and it happens for every single conversation outside a building. I play in turn based but I doubt it has anything to do with the issue. I'll try reinstalling the game.

By the way: before initiating dialogue you can pause the game (unfortunately there's no auto-pause setting for this). That way no time will pass while talking. You cannot pause during dialogue. But enemies can't find you in stealth mode nor can they initiate combat during that time.

Useful tip. Actually, I've already been caught during a conversation so I am definitely going to use this. Thank you both for your help.
