As it stands right now, you can custom-build a house, placing each piece individually.   My idea is to give us complete house plans that include everything already designed, you just have build it.  Such designs could include but aren't limited to:

- A simple 1-room, 1-floor house

- A 1-floor house with X rooms

- A 2-story house

- A house that's built on stilts

I could see this for the quick setup outpost type bases, I wouldn't use it for my main bases though.

Definitely would be a great starter even for custom bigger builds or for those remote locations.

 

Being able to blueprint our own structure and save it would be great as well.

I could see this as part of the beginning tutorial.

Yes .. this is a Fantastic Tutorial Idea .... 
it would be wonderful for a Tutorial step through of building a simple structure
with descriptions of how the pieces were designed to connect together
