I think there is a render distance issue with the berries in the trees, you can shoot them or hit them to knock the ground. however they either just disappear for a short time or drop to the ground and can't be interacted with.

we are playing multiplayer so I have seen that only the host can actually retrieve them so that might be the fix

I can confirm this is happening. Yesterday I was farming berries as host with friends. They shoot the berries, I hear them drop but I dont see any. Additionally when I as host shoot them down, my friends could see them falling on the ground but then could not harvest them. I however could harvest them. Please fix this, it is really annoying especially with dangerous spiders lurking around 😉
