So a scroll requires Arcana to be cast and also gains power the more Arcana you have. What makes no sense to me is that a spell caster can cast any spell they learn, but they cannot cast it from a scroll if you don't have Arcana points. How is reading a spell from a grimoire any different from reading it from a scroll??

Bogus mechanic. They should have given spellcasters access to their own spells without requiring Arcana and then add PL for them through Arcana. The way it is now is just wrong.

Difference is that I make it pretty clear when I'm posting opinions and not factual statements. Saying "the way it is now is just wrong" implies that this is somehow a universal truth while it's merely your personal opinion.

By the way I also don't like the Arcana/Scroll system either. In my opinion scrolls should provide completely different effects from class abilites. But I assume there are some arguments that speak in favor of the current solution. It's just not my cup of tea is all.

Dont circumvent the word filter. Dont attack people, discuss the issues.

The ignore feature on the boards, it is highly advisable to use it in cases where civil discussion isn't possible.
