I've arrived at Gilded Vale, and I've picked up Eder and Aloth. I have a bunch of side quests already, but I've also been told to head for Caed Nua asap.

In general, should I head for Caed Nua, or should I resolve some of the side quests first? Which would serve a green party better? My main character is only lv 2.

Thanks.

Side quests first. Clear all areas west of Caed Nua. Be careful in Raedric’s keep. Lots of enemies there’s....

No matter which fork in the road you take I am certain adventure awaits.

However, you can savely travel to the entrance of Caed Nua

, pick up an official companion named Kana Rua there

and then go back from where you came.

Thank you.

Does it hurt anything if you skip some areas and go to Caed Nua first in order to unlock areas?  I wanted to pick up my eventual favorite companions sooner?  Afterwards I am traveling back to clear those areas with all my crew that I want to have for the playthrough.

Remember not to spoiler anything (for the OP) I was just wondering if it "spawns" enemies in an area at your level like Kingdoms of Amalur and some other games do.?  So if I run through maps in stealth I might mess up my game (if I was playing Amalur) by setting enemies to whatever level I first arrived on the map.

It doesn't hurt anything.

Unless you don't go to

Twin Elms before you deal with Raedric

I think you won't miss out on anything. At least as far as I remember.
