tedmann12 Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 I am now level 4 and realized that I do not want my level one skill that I chose. But when I go to respec it looks like I am stuck with it. I am guessing that for whatever reason I can't respec it, and wondering if there is some way to mod my game files or do something to change it. I have a build in mind I really want to do! Also I would suggest to Obsidian that they figure out a way to allow a total respec. Even if they don't want to allow you to change your attributes, at least let us change our level 1 skill selection. Thanks!
Boeroer Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Skill or ability? Skills is stuff like Mechanics, Athletics and so on. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
tedmann12 Posted January 28, 2019 Author Posted January 28, 2019 Oh, oops. I mean abilities. I chose an ability I don't want with my chanter, I want a different one!
Boeroer Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) Do you want to keep your achievements for this playthrough? If not you can open the build-in console (have a look at the game menu: which key is bound to opening the console?) and type: iroll20s Enter Console will close - your achievements get disabled for that playthrough. Reopen console RemoveAbility Player_<name> <name_of_the_ability>Reopen console Addability Player_<name> <name_of_the_ability> Upper/lower case doesn't matter. If you don't know the names - no worry! For example if you want to remove or add Mule Kick, just type "Mu" and hit the tab key. The console will guess what you wanted. If you hit tab multiple times it will cycle through all abilities that start with the letters you typed. If you want to keep achievements you have to install the mod called "Unity Console". There you can do the same without touching your achievements. Edited January 28, 2019 by Boeroer Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
tedmann12 Posted January 28, 2019 Author Posted January 28, 2019 Great, thanks! Will I still be able to get Berath's blessings with unity console?
ptarror Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I always wondered if there a reason you couldn't change this one thing as part of retraining at an inn.
