Hi I have my MC monk using a soulbound item (increases as you use it) and I have had it advance in power a few times.  Now it says I need to kill 5 blights or 25 enemies.  I think I understand that but it seems I have killed enemies but still 0 for 25.  I was actually in a cave with some spiders and my party was killing about 5 spiders while I fought 2 spiders to the side.  I'm pretty sure I got the kills.  Any reason I wouldn't get update 2/25 on the staff?  I'll check the combat log.

ye that is strange. I havent seen that. Maybe try unequiping not sure what the issue is

It seems to be only counting some kills.  It is progressing but I did have a battle where the combat log said he did death blow but ended the fight with 0/25 on the advancment.  But it is intermittent and some fights advances eg 3/25
