And sources of regeneration (ring of greater regeneration, three troll-stitched cape, flashmender armor, exalted endurance, ancient memory, etc) can offset it. Other than that, as Hulk says, just try to end the fight quickly...

October 11, 20187 yr Hmm, can't really remember a fight, where an enemy used it, because the damage is not that high. Paladin can surely outheal the effect.

October 11, 20187 yr Barring Death's Door can effectively counter the raw damage over time effect. Or drastically reduce the amount of damage by equipping Voidward and using compassionate soul essence, as the raw damage should not qualify as "veil-piercing."

Stuff like Voidward is just for 1 character though - so they are applicable only if you are soloing. But thanks about Compassionate Soul Essence. I didn't even know that existed; and it seems like a very useful thing to carry around in general!
