By a button (which is gone) or when in combat when transformed.

Dunno if that's intentional or not, but I guess it's one way to fix the crashes and performance drops, as mentioned in the patch notes

This feature was removed as it was not originally intended for release as it was causing too many issues with performance, graphical issues, and problems getting the different forms to work with different equipped items.  Sorry if you really liked the feature, but it was causing too much trouble.

Oh, a shame.

Well, the patch notes should have been more clear regarding that.

I think weapons shouldn't stay on the doll when using this feature, and maybe blocking inventory plays when it's on. Something to consider if you ever try to put it back.
