Cyrus_Blackfeather Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 What's up? So I'm trying to decide which active/passive skills would be best to focus on for my Watcher, since I won't be using the Bonus Skills blessing this run. So far, I definitely know that I want companions to focus on Mechanics, Explosives, and Arcana, so I'm thinking having my Watcher focus his efforts on Sleight of Hand and Stealth would be for the best, with a little bit of Athletics added in. As for passives, I'm thinking Insight + one conversational skill to keep the point spread fair, and then just have companions for the different conversation skills for party sharing benefits, as well as Mysticality/Religion/History and so on. Thoughts?
1TTFFSSE Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Athletics, Survival, Streetwise, Intimidate, Bluff are used a lot. Metaphysics, Insight and Stealth as well to a lesser extent. Those are for scripted encounter checks.
Myztik Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) Athletics can be covered by a party member and is not used that often, there's the beginning island and like one scripted interaction with a well that required high Athletics. The rest are just to avoid a meaningless injury covered up by the 200 food items you have. Stealth checks are used purely to start overworld engagements in stealth and is not really necessary. For Watcher only checks I would focus on Diplomacy and Intimidate/Buff. There are a lot of Insight checks but they are mostly meaningless exposition text. For party members you want one with a high Survival check for overworld engagements which are used to get closer to targets or scan the area. You want another with high Religion if you care about shrine bonuses. Edited June 22, 2018 by Myztik
AndreaColombo Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 For my Watcher I usually pick Athletics (for Second Wind, although it is much less useful now that it is no longer an insta-cast), either Stealth or Mechanics, Insight, and Streetwise. Arcana, Alchemy, Explosives can all be very useful depending on your play style. "Time is not your enemy. Incendax Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Diplomacy and Insight. Always useful and informative. Bluff OR Intimidate if you are playing that kind of character.
