OMGOOSES Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I apologize if this has been asked before - I've google-fu-ed the hell out of it, but can't seem to find a definite answer. Do things tend to stack on PoE2? In this particular instance, a Hearth Orlan (10% hit to crit) Sharpshooter (15% hit to crit) using a light crossbow (10% hit to crit)... would all those work together? or does one overwrite the other. Love the game btw. I hadn't beaten POE1 before POE2 came out, so I had to go back and restart so I could import my save into PoE2.
kmbogd Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) Yep, they do but not additively, rather the first ability is checked initially, if that fails the second is checked and so on. The formula that results for the final hit to crit chance is 1-(1-p1)*(1-p2)*...*(1-pn). In your example it would be 1-(1-0.1)*(1-0.15)*(1-0.1)=1-0.69=0.31, so 31% chance for hit to crit. Boeroer Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Nice explanation. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
Arddv Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Very good explanation indeed. I always wondered each time I had different ability showing in the combat log as a cause of hit to crit.
