Boeroer Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Yeah that would be nice. I would like to play a Priest of Berath/Bleak Walker so I can combine FoD and Spiritual Great Sword - I don't care if my Faith & Conviction and my Holy Shmoly Radiance will suffer. I would like not only a mod (although highly appreciated) but I'd also like to see that this somewhat silly restriction gets removed from the main game entirely. Place a warning instead - that will suffice. Or even better: reintroduce "Untroubled Faith" et al. 1 Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
atommsk Posted June 6, 2018 Author Posted June 6, 2018 I totally agree. I just figured a mod would be more realistic to ask for at this time. I was hoping for Darcozzi/Magran though myself, because fire is fun. I also think it can be interesting playing a character with conflicting feelings and dispositions from a roleplay perspective even if it's not going to be maybe the most optimized build mechanically.
Enoch Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 (edited) my Holy Shmoly Radiance will suffer. Unless the tooltips are lying to me, favored/disfavored dispositions currently have zero effect on Holy Radiance. (Edit: Gromnir has been prodding the developers to look into this.) Porcelyn Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I didn't even think about this when I planned out my Templar. I guess my only option for Kind Wayfarer is Eothas? Atsura, the intelligent Psychopath of my dreams. I like my elves grumpy and my godlike fishy! And my Rekke romancable!
Kohwalter Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 I think this class-restriction is hard-coded and can't be easily changed.
atommsk Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 Holy Radiance feels like a much smaller part of a priest's arsenal than in POE1 anyhow. Possibly because there's no longer any talents to modify it and all of your other spells are per encounter now, but I find myself forgetting I even have it sometimes in Deadfire.
Boeroer Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 (edited) I didn't even think about this when I planned out my Templar. I guess my only option for Kind Wayfarer is Eothas? Your options are those that don't collide with each other disposition-wise. The condemned dispositions for Wayfarers are deceptive and cruel. So they can multiclass with every priest subclass that doesn't have cruel or deceptive as favored dispositions. Those are only Wael and Skean. The rest works with a Kind Wayfarer. I haven't tried this, but my understanding was always that it works the other way, too. Magran and Berath both disfavor Passionate, so I thought that Priests of their faith couldn't join a Paladin order that favors it. Edited June 7, 2018 by Enoch
Porcelyn Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 On a side not, it seems odd to me the Magran disfavours passion. She seems like a very passionate person in Deadfire even admitting she acts hastily. Atsura, the intelligent Psychopath of my dreams. I like my elves grumpy and my godlike fishy! And my Rekke romancable!
Kaylon Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I think you can change the subclass using the console (setsubclass).
