Have to disagree here. Humans are like monkeys. They would happily share the resources that are available. It only really happens when there is a grand shortage. But with humans we (Northern side) gladly mass-gather and leave the others (Southern side) with alot less, even if we could share the resources. And why, because we silly humans fight for some fictional thing called "money" and rather have alot of it... more then the other ones atleast! Now who says we are ADVANCED beyond the apes...

TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline
BattleCookiee replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Was talking about, because all the stuff (convo lines, maps, HK weapons skin/mesh/lines, cutscenes) that would have been used was already installed on the user's PC with a Kotor2 install, it wouldn't take so many space. But since it seems (from the second paragraph) you replace all the orig. files with the new "restored" files, the point I tried to make is already falsified... That said, another question; Will the "Goto's ship flyby" scene now run properly before GO-TO's meet with the assassins, as was intended? (actually also wonder why there isn't a "patch" for it on your site already)... -
There is 1 extra movie, but it can only be seen by BINK... Edit; added spoiler tags, just incase

Telos- surface military base
BattleCookiee replied to shamus_jedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The Telos Military Facility basement contains the HK-Factory HK-47 talked about (where they mass produce the HK-50's). This was cut though, and yes, the Restoration Project will restore it! -
HIV exists for a very long time. But ofcourse ever since the use of condoms and such reduced (60's, current times) this one and other STD's are on rapid growth. It is VERY easy to contain, if it wasn't alot of people still sleep unsafe after they know they have it or do not dare to tell that they got infected (because of cheating or such) and thus the wife/man/lover never finds out and gets it spreading too... Also if they never tell people about it there are these incidents that you can become infected when helping them with a bleeding or using something that had the infected blood of the other on it. AIDS is growing most among gays and whores (no condoms) and junks (sharing the needles with the infected blood)

Jade Empire Is A Big Fat Financial Failure!!!
BattleCookiee replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
Yes, better on console. Part of that is doubtlessly because PC SKUs are almost always secondary or tertiary SKUs. It's rare for something to be developed for PC and ported to console. It's much easier to build to the specs of the console and port to PC. And when done it is awfully bad (Deus Ex anyone). This is mostly though I think because PC-only games are typically the ones that need alot of buttons or Keyboard and mouse to play, like FPS and RTS. And when creating for the Console and PC it can turn out worse (both in quality as in financial succes) than making a PC-only game if you severly hurt the quality with the hybrid (see DX and DX:IW) Morrowind was a game in a PC franchise taken to console. The Elder Scrolls had a good following on PC so it shouldn't be surprising that it sold better there. When did the Xbox version of Morrowind come out compared to the PC version? I honestly can't remember. Kotor2 did beter on X-Box. No surprises here though, since it was released 3 months before the PC on X-Box... Same with the GTA series. If there wasn't a gap of 6 months between PS2 and X-Box/PC release, the PS2 sales would be alot lower and the other 2 alot higher... For a similar release date it would be interesting to see though how sales will go between 2 platforms. See it yourself end march when Oblivion is released Also extra possibilities on the PC (X-pack, Bonus pack, Mods) can cause extra sales where the console can not... Yes, it would generally be requested by the publisher. There are occasions where a developer really wants to do one and, if their contract allows, they can take it to another publisher. Yeah. That was already mentioned also in the PNJ fora when there were members requesting for a PC version... You might wan't to check out all OE-dev posts there on the subject... -
Let's hope OE follows after PNJ. Kinda tiresome these days to only see sequels

I agree with Gabs on this one... The human race destroys the entire planet just for their own habitation. Entire races and species of animals/plants/organisms extinct, so some people can get themselves some additional money or living space. Also, the fact that the growth of the Human population is so enormously fast causes problems with living space and food supplies. The largest growth is in Africa, and exactly this growth also causes poorness and alot more of the ground to be used to make food for the own population. It is a vicious circle, and it is greatly hurting the natural habitat of the plants and creatures there... Yeah, I find it scary too

Same is said about The Plague (Black Death)... That one might even be worse than this one too, but they could manage that when they found out the cause and it was an easily managable one. Managing safe sex is a whole different and far more difficult task. Don't get me wrong, it is VERY managable, if it wasn't in the human nature to keep sleeping with other people and ignore the risk of spreading the dissease... <_<

Jade Empire Is A Big Fat Financial Failure!!!
BattleCookiee replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
Doesn't that contradicts itself? It is not proof of anything. The creator of this "report" first used a really weird concept of "unrecognizable (due to brand/creator) games", where clearly famous persons/companies like Bio and Peter Molyneux were left out. Then he seems to have some weird vision of a "commercial succes". Like said before, Darwania almost made no profit, and the company was near bankrupt when they found an additional supplier in Source. Ofcourse, we all know how (in)famous Source is, allowing a much larger target group... EDIT; If a low-cost project like Darwania cannot even get their production costs out of sales, commercial succes is NOT my first thought... -

Lionhead made 3 games, and they all dissapoint. If that doesn't prove Molyneux lost his good old Bullfrog touch. But still people buy their (LH) games... -

BattleCookiee replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
No, you clearly underestimate's BIO's Fame. Would NWN would ever sell that good without Bio's rep. Would KOTOR ever sell that good. Hell, didn't KOTOR2 benefit from both the rep of Bio and Black Isle making it the seller as it is? And now, alot of people anticapite for Dragon Age/Project New Jersey. And what do we know? Besides that the company has a good rep? -

And that is exactly why Crap like Black&White could became best-sellers. That is the only game I ever regret buying ... and just because he has a rep. -
Jade Empire Is A Big Fat Financial Failure!!!
BattleCookiee replied to Volourn's topic in Computer and Console
What are The Movies and JE doing on the list at all actually. If it is about financial profit with games who are original and without a lot of "recognizable brand" stuff they shouldn't allow BioWare games or games of Peter Molyneux... Edit; Spelling and EDIT; And why is Darwinia on the list? Sure, it was original. Sure, it was having good critics, but it never became a commercial success... -
Only possible on X-Box <_<

Except for the fact it isn't?

How about; Monkey Island 1-3 Day of the Tentacle Full Throttle Grim Fandango Sam & Max ? -
REVENGE What harshness... just because I cannot think up something original... Or did you take a look in the future? EDIT; I am such an idiot... misread the line...
-
" It is not my problem I cannot be original!

Especially if there is 300% certainty the rumors are false, and still so many people try to believe them...

Just tried it and both worked... Sorry
