  1. I'm starting to think that, I redid the fight and this time I went down to the stairs to the left and the civvies followed me there as well! D:
  2. Normally in 99% of RPG/open world games most unarmed folk run away from there is combat but in PoE2 they really dont care: As its turning this simple bounty into a nightmare as something keeps on triggering them hostile, I dont know its the Barbarian or Aloths scpeter that doing it. I am 100% sure I am not slamming down AoE spells are will and I am only doing "Foe Only" Spells, so what the heck is going on here? Again, I am kill the bounty herself in moments but I dont want to be killing civvies...
  3. Can I just check on something? Whilst people are making a big deal about the gods not being "real", one thing think that should be made clear is if Thaos was trying to make the pantheon much more monotheistic with a strong focus on Woedica like how the cult of Sol Invictus came to dominate the Roman Empire. IIRC the other gods show their blessing by allow the souls of their followers trapped in Burial Isle/Sun In Shadow to slow the decent of the Watcher when they fall into the pit, so does this mean that Thaos was purging the faithful of other gods to make sure the one he was backing remained dominate? If this was clear I think it would make his motive a bit more clear...
  4. This guy is correct, if you DONT want the dip then walk over to the door that leads to the floor where the Priests were and then walk out onto the battlements to the vines you can scale down...
  5. So yeah, I heard Nintendo getting mention of being bug/glich free, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TbOpNBuRbA Even after 30 years they are finding new bugs: Heck, even AVGN did a whole piece of bugs (NSFW): And you know that most speed runs of Nintendo games are based around glitches (even modern ones, check out the majora's mask speed runs). The only big difference between then and now is the internet as people can quickly commentate about bugs, if you play a game that is buggy and you dont *know* what is bugged you will think it then you could think its less buggy than a game which a fewer bugs but your friends noted them out to you so it seems to be more buggy...
  6. Well Bloodborne is a videogame and not a pc game and therefor not interesting to me. Sorry but i have been pc gaming since like 1990. For me it does not qualify as a RPG. For that matter the Witcher 3 does not too, Controller recommended in a rpg? A set main character i cannot create myself ? Sorry don't see any appeal in that. But yeah its much more rpg than an action game as Bloodborne, so it should not affect pillars as its released on a very limited and inferior platform only. I feel really sorry for you that you feel that way But that is the mentality that PC gamers are known for - it's not on PC, therefore it's not worth my time. We've gotta change that, or people will think we're all a bunch of elitist douches. So you're a douche now if you don't like controller gameplay? Wow... There is nothing wrong with only playing games on PC you know. That doesn't make you a douche and it doesn't make you elitist. And for what it's worth, most console gamers are even much worse than that. They'd never play an indie game or an exclusive PC game. Just go out on the PS4 forums and ask Bloodborne fans what they think about PoE. Either they don't even know it or they think it's "old crap", at least the vast majority. So who's the douche here? "KBAM > controller" is definitely a view espoused by PC Elitism, yes. And I personally think it is an indefensible position. However, holding that opinion isn't douchey, not in and of itself. It's the way PC Elitsts argue their case as if anyone who doesn't think controllers are destroying gaming is an imbecile - THAT is douchey. Not the argument itself but the shape and tone it always, invariably takes. Yes, generally speaking, that kind of attitude is douchey. I'm not saying that describes any particular individual here but if you haven't seen that happen you haven't been around many forums or any media devoted to gaming. Speaking for myself, I prefer to play games on a PC despite owning every console. My Xbox One has a thick layer of dust on it, and I only use my PS3 and PS4 rarely. But I use an Xbox 360 controller on PC for just about any game that isn't a twitch shooter or strategic game. My friend, there is a a site out there called: https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/ Many of the post thread come under: https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/no-true-scotsman Think about it like this, you come across someone who is into PnP an you then tell them about PoE but they balk at the idea of playing a COMPUTER RPG as how can you roleplay a game that limits your choices to what the developers can think of? If remove the creative side of roleplaying then its its a not a real RPG... The guy who you are quoting is wrong, the game clearly talking about something closer to werewolves as you are a hunter in a beast hunt in a city overtaken by maddess: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GJmO1hh4sg Of course the game I am mainly hyped for is PoE but if you afford both then: This girl is still smarter than most of the internet...
  7. I haven't offered a definition, I have just given examples of games I think are RPGs. CoD is not among them, nor have I said anything that could reasonably lead one to believe that I would think so. Meanwhile, HuniePop (a dating sim) satisfies all criteria you have mentioned so far. It doesn't just have 'RPG elements', there is not one 'RPG element' that is present in Baldur's Gate but absent in HuniePop. It has level progression, it has branching dialog, it has meaningful choices, it has equipment, it has spells, it has tactical combat. Using your definition (uh, excuse me, "common sense") there is no group that includes BG but excludes HuniePop, which is patently absurd, as it is a bejeweled-like puzzle game/dating sim, and not an RPG. I'm a PC gamer, I have all of the original IE games in their original boxes (well other than the PS:T jewel which got smashed in ) and I love paradox wargames, I'm also hyped for Bloodborne as I loves me some Demon's Souls (heck, I even imported a copy from the US as it was not coming in Europe) and Dark Souls. So I am hyped for both Bloodborne and PoE but making a thread about it on the official forums just asking for "elitists" who know nothing about about the game to judge you because you like console games. I mean if we made a PoE thread over on the Bioware forums there would be a similar reaction and dismissal of somehting that "different" and not "pure" enough... That is like saying that Icewind Dale is just a copy and paste of Balur's Gate...
