I'll take your word for that too. I dropped that game after the tutorial.

Baldur's Gate 2 beats any TB game ever made.

Disagree. RTwP is objectively faster and feels more "realistic". Also, you don't have to pause all the time. Melee characters don't need much micromanagement so you can focus on the spell casters.

It's Larian. Expect lots of quirky dialogue.

I was speaking specifically about Larian. Other devs probably feel like most players wouldn't want to play as an NPC instead of a custom char.

You'd have a point if this was Larian's first game, not their eight. They just don't know how to write.

Probably because they were poorly written.

And that's my issue with what I have seen so far. It looks like D:OS2 mixed with Dragon Age. It looks and feels nothing like Baldur's Gate.

Bioware created some memorable characters in BG and BG2. Can't say the same for Larian.

Looks like it's going to be turn based... And it has the same braindead writing D:OS2 had. They should have just called this Divinity: Original Sin 2.5 and let someone more competent make BG3. I guess there's still Pathfinder to look forward too, but this is really disappointing.
