  1. While that book looks REALLY REALLY REALLY nice, I will still go for option 2. I waited so long that some extra weeks will do no harm. It's more economical, ecological and the digital downloads (map, manual, artbook,...) will still be there for us to download. I find the whole situation a bit stupid because: - Why announce the game's release date while not everything is ready? Hold your lips tight and wait till everything is ready - Gamers (should) have grown accustomed to all those many game delays - The money they so spare can then be spend on something extra & small like: - a physical & nice postcard with a hearty thanks of the developers to all the backers or - a (discount) voucher for a future DLC for the backers . . .
  2. I agree completely with Lightblade75. A poll for almost 6000 collector box backers (according to kickstarter, late backers unknown - at least 1 - me!) is the least Obsidian can do for us "collectioneurs". A big x-sided dice, some small dice, a coin, a small replica of some special item in the game, an artwork calendar of 2015 or even 2016 to keep us reminding of a game we already might have finished by then, a trinket, a famous in-game magical "gem" in colored glass with a led & small battery in it (oh it glows), mousepad w/artwork, playing cards w/artwork (I really liked the Divinity Original Sin cards) , an Obsidian stone (how appropriate) or some tarot cards or a bag of runes or an ankh (oh yeah, that's all from another and old game universe , a plastic or Lego figurine (seems popular lately) of an in-game hero/villian, a leather pageholder, a beautiful leathery cover for a small spell / bestiary book or the manual ala Ultima 4 (which I still consider one of the best presented game boxes) , a beautiful printed sleeve of the making of DVD/Blu-ray we have to burn ourselves, or for those who wish and with enough participants, we receive the collectors box at a later date but with the full "making of" DVD/Blu-ray (which makes it even more "collectible") . . . but please not this horrid ugly bland notepad !!!
  3. Well I checked my calendar and it's not April 1st...so throw that theory out the window. What a great idea you have there !!! We can now get rid of the horrid notepad and make it a 2015 calender with some nice Pillars art on it. It's very useful once and thereafter you can still admire the artwork )
  4. At least it's somewhat useful. A DVD you'd watch once then stow away forever, and you get the exact same benefit with the downloadable vid. Somewhat useful? At least you watch the DVD once, in most cases the "collectible" notepad will be stowed away forever in mint condition in your collector's box.
  5. I would rather have a physical DVD than any downloads at all. Not everyone has lightning speed internet and especially anything above the 1GB is torture to me. And I presume a digital documentary will exceed this tortureous limit rather very nicely. I would rather wait an extra month or two, three for the full package incl DVD docu instead of a rushed out game, digital documentary and propable some missing stuff there and there too, just to meet the promised deadline and to satisfy some impatient persons. I also don't mind to receive the DVD at a later stage, but I am not willing to pay for something I did not ordered nor do I want. Those who ordered a physical tier choose so as backer, otherwise they would have chosen some digital tier in the first place. You have been given the opportunity to create this game you were long time dreaming of, by this backing community whom you promised digital and/or physical rewards. This community backed you so by chosing one or more of these rewards. This same community has been given the opportunity to see the reincarnation of a game format we all have been long waiting for to see again and re-live, created by parts of a veteran & talented team who started it all in the first place. So honor your promise to us and yourselves and reconsider the DVD/BluRay documentary again for those who ordered it...
