1. NiGHTS: Into Dreams 2. Chrono Trigger 3. Uncharted Waters 2: New Horizons 4. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 5. Final Fantasy VII 6. Final Fantasy V 7. Neverwinter Nights: The Aielund Saga* 8. The Legend of Zelda: Oracles** 9. Super Mario World 10. Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 *The Aielund saga was a fan module that in my opinion was far more enjoyable than the Original or expansion campaigns. **Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons were two seperate games, but were really just two halves of one bigger game, so I have counted them as one game. I loved NiGHTS. The only game for my Sega Saturn I truly liked, it made me realise that having it wasn't a complete waste. Final Fantasy V is the most underrated Final Fantasy of the lot. The levelling system alone made it one of my favourite games. And Red Alert 2 gets the tenth spot for those awesome cutscenes with the Texan General. The C&C series went downhill quickly from there.

To see their stats, right-click on them or their portait, select "more options" from the radial menu, and then select "examine". Spells from scrolls I don't know. Maybe try just putting them in their inventory (same procedure as examine)? As to Romance, yes, in chapters 2 and 3.

The Treaty of Troyes declared the Duphin Charles of France a bastard and confirmed Henry V of England as the rightful successor to the throne of France.

Not to mention that the long count of the Mayan calendar will end in 2012. You all need to make a decision before then. When the stars are right, and the Great Old Ones return, will you be eaten first?

I remember my dad (who was a D&D Basic through to AD&D 1e gamer) was of the kick-in-the-door style of play. Roleplaying in town was never more indepth than putting the barman up against the wall and shouting "Where's the dungeon?", and he used to say that if he wanted to sit around talking to people, he'd go to the pub.
-
Bah. What sort of God needs a representative on Earth? If he's so great, he should just do what Eris does and talk to his followers on a one-to-one basis.

True Neutral I mentioned only because you mentioned Chaotic Neutral. Otherwise, Neutral Good people want a "good" society, but feel that as long as it's good, it's...good. Anyway, the most important part is that the greatest number of people are happy. If you believe it can be done effectively either way, you'd be Neutral Good, though the way you feel it could be done best would determine whether you swayed towards Law or Chaos.

I know I prefer roleplay for the most part, but my players have rather different ideas. They enjoy roleplay, but only if it's taking them in the direction of an adventure. It makes them a very difficult group, because they start complaining if they're in a dungeon too long, but if they spend too long in a city setting, they start complaining that they never get to explore dungeons. Maybe it's because my group is from the 16-bit era of CRPGs, because my D&D games are a hellva lot like Zelda in structure.

Sounds Neutral Good or True Neutral to me.

A good dungeon has quite a lot of roleplaying opportunities. There can be other adventuring parties, an Ogre Mage who though evil has some common interest with the party, an Evil Cleric collecting sacrifices for his dark god who would rather parley with the party than attack them. A good dungeon has roleplaying, just as a good roleplaying adventure has combat. Some people prefer role play in their hack 'n' slash, some prefer hack 'n' slash in their role play. Most players, I think, want both sorts of adventures; a few sessions in the King's Court solving the mystery of the Princess' kidnapping, then a few sessions in the catacombs under the city seeking out the cultist temple where she is being held, for example. A change of pace is not a bad thing.

Did you get Power Attack? The freat progression is Power Attack -> Cleave -> Great Cleave

Yeah, the free-XP modules work, but would a character created in a CEP free-XP module allow you to use CEP content in the Official Campagns? Having just attempted it and ending up with a headless, shieldless, realistic bastard swordless, and capeless character, it would appear the anwer is, unfortunately, no.
-
I've never tried what I'm about to suggest, you understand, but this is all I can think of: There are special modules that allow you to create characters at levels higher than level 1. You create the character, get as much XP and gold as you want (or an amount appropriate to your level), and use the module's shops to get equipment for your character. Now, at least in theory, if you found a CEP compatible module like that, you could create a level 15 character in that, along with CEP items (Caped armour, heraldic shields, realistic looking bastard swords, etc.), and then import that character into HotU. It might just work. Might.
-
Sadly, no, not that I know of. But once you've finished HotU, get the Community Expansion Pack, and download the Aielund Trilogy, which is the best set of fan modules I've played yet (Incidentally, the story works best if you're a Fighter or Paladin, so no spells neccessary).

When you start HotU, you are levelled up to level 15 if you don't import a character. It is intended that you import your character from Shadows of Undrentide, as this adventure is a continuation of sorts from the previous expansion. There are very few to no direct links to the first expansion, though, so not having played it recently won't hurt the story. Also, since you're levelling up to level 15, remember that there are prestige classes you may wish to consider, which will be affected by your starting class and such.

Well, if we have an ability scores thread, we might as well have an alignment thread too. So, post your alignment, and if you want to, why you feel you are that alignment. Me, I'm Chaotic Neutral, definitely. I value my freedom, but don't use it to further altruistic goals or to deliberately gain my happiness at the expense of others.

Oh wait, maybe they did... ... Going a bit off topic, does anyone else think Malak got that metal jaw because he was hurt by HK's meatbag-statements? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is a well known fact that Malak had a shaving accident with a cursed (-20) blade. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Lightshaver: For when that jedi beard is just a bit too long.

Major Issues That Need Fixing ASAP
Reveilled replied to Master Dahvernas's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Also important is the skipping dialogue bug. It affects a lot of people to different degrees. Some just get T3-M4's lines skipped, some get all lines skipped after a few hours of play, and some get every line skipped all the time, rendering the game unplayable. -
I was mistaken alright. "Bella" is the plural form of "bellum", not the other way around. In Latin, depending on the function one word has within a sentece, its morphology changes. I believe it's called the "inflections" of a word, in English. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And the way in which it changes in Latin is called "This is why I farking hate Latin how on Earth could people speak such a stupid language" in English. Many other rules of Latin have similar names in English.

Why don't you check your 'facts' in-game before you post? It is easy enough to do. The DEX bonus limit on armour does not affect the DEX bonus to attack with ranged weapons (same for melee weapons and lightsabres if you have the appropriate finesse feats). Wow, someone got up on the wrong side of bed today. Sorry, I didn't realise it was such a big deal to you. My apologies for making a mistake. But I'm looking at my original post, and I can't see where I used the word "facts", so why put it in inverted commas?

Wait...what? If they were slowly melting, the glass would travel down, so old windows would end up thicker at the bottom than at the top. My useless piece of information... People who speak British English think that the word "Aluminum" is silly because it doesn't fit with the names in the rest of the periodic table. Curiously, however, they have no problem with "Platinum".
