What Difference Is There In The PC Version?
themacman replied to Revan Haran's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Xbox version will always run like bullcrapl. unlike the Pc version which gets updated from time to time. Better Gpu/Cpu/non-shared Video Ram like the Xbox, not a Celleron 733mhz like the xbox... the game runs smooth although not on the Xbox. -
I am broken, so very broken (SPOILERS)

some dev "s" at Obsidian don't seem to have the time to get this bug out -
Well... To be fair, we really don't know if it was a "huge part of the game." I mean, it is a party-member subquest. It could have been just some hitherto unopenable door on Nar Shaada or something, where you kill 10 droids and get an influence point or something. Don't get me wrong. I want HK to kill the meatbags who need killin'. Just sayin'... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i want it to be huge or at least feature in the game...
-
Yup you notice they cut a Huge part out of the game. i very disapointed by it i hope they fix it someday because we have paid good money to see the HK factory be destroyed/used for the jedi in some strange way i think lucas arts ows everyone a free updated CD/DVDfor the Xbox and download for the PC. PLEASE LUCASART LET THEM FINISH THIS QUEST

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp download the 66.93 and uninstall the drivers that came with the card. all nvidia cards since the 5200 support OpenGL 2.0 when the drivers are finished

What Nvidia drivers are you using?
themacman replied to Jellybelly's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion

Which game is more buggy - KOTOR I or KOTOR II?
themacman replied to Burnzzz's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
for me it was KOTOR1. maybe because i played version 1.0, and it was buggy as hell. -

Do I Need a New Video Card or Driver Update?
themacman replied to stop_him's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
it's not your computer but you GPU which is a museum piece -
same here. it seems you can never win in anyway.

the 66.93 WHQL drivers don't have this issue that is what you get with beta Drivers

Creative sound output with FX. http://eax.creative.com/

DX9 is for sound only. the 3D part is fully OpenGL, there is also a Kotor1 Mac OS X version which was ported in a very short time. DirectX games normally take 5 to 6 months to port.

guess thats all i can do, cant think what else to do. My son actually bought the game and played it all to the end...v annoying... thanks... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> disable EAX.

Radeon IGP 345M / Comments appreciated..
themacman replied to Intrama's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Negative. That thing is related to the R100 series from ATI. Basically it's a stripped down Radeon 256 / Radeon 7x00. It would run the game very poorly if at all. It people with Radeon 7500's can't play, you are definitely out of luck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no it's a 9100. http://search.ati.com/nasearch.asp?Query=I...Total=&Stat=New http://www.neowin.net/forum/lofiversion/in...hp/t260180.html -

Radeon IGP 345M / Comments appreciated..
themacman replied to Intrama's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
that chip is a Radeon 9100 which is a Ati Radeon 8500. *issue's Radeon 8500 Based chips. When playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II on a card with one of these chipsets, you may experience the following issues: Changes made to the Brightness slider may not be retained after exiting the game. When you restart the game, the brightness will be at the default setting, but the slider will be in the position that you selected before exiting the game. Please check for updated drivers, which may correct this issue. Highly detailed textures may display a moray pattern that changes with camera movement. Increasing the level of Anisotropy in the Advanced Graphics Options menu may help alleviate this issue * -
Currently Unsupported 3D Chipsets Intel i740/i810 Intel i845/i865 Intel i915 there are other chips but these are the ones made by intel. can't you get a Pci/AGP video card ??

Need assistance downloading OpenGL 1.4 or higher
themacman replied to Dkunsberg's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
what GPU does your system have ?? download the video drivers from your system or GPU manufacturer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got them, but they KOTOR still won't go strange, ever since I downloaded 1.4, its gotten worse. now I can't play the opening movies ( i have to disable them) and the screen sometimes has all the info in the upper right corner. strange still same problem any advice would be greatly apreciate and used <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if it's an on-board shared video ram GPU. i advice you to get a real GPU PCI/AGP. -
