  1. Well, there is one thing I don't get here, so someone help me out. Lucas came up with the midiclorian thing to explain force powers saying that the higher the concentration of the things in someone is, the stronger they are in the force. So... does Vader being part machine mean that he has a lower total quantity of the things, even with the same concentration? Does that mean that he is weaker than before his mangling? Does this prove yet again that the midichlorian idea is dumb? (heck i'll answer that: yep!)
  2. All the way, man. Bastilla's gotta win. Let the future Darth Vader cry with that whiny voice and still win a one on one with Bastilla? I don't want to live in that world. eh, who am I kidding. It's Star Wars. I'd live there but I wouldn't be happy about it!
  3. I would definitely try for the xbox if at all possible. The PC just still doesn't do it for me for anything other than real time strategy and RPGs w/ turn-based combat. Even with a nifty new gamepad, first person anything, to me, feels all fragile and disconcerting on a PC. I am pretty sure that Laozi was just being playful there. The above post way to hostile, not to mention genuinely more insulting, than anything is this thread would warrant. *ok, just read some other post laozi made about the French, so you might have a point here.. i can see how repeated comments would get annoying.*
  4. Wait. you got to make revan into whatever you wanted. how could you hate your creation so intensely? About Darth Vader I know two things: 1. he was the man in the original trilogy. 2. the anakin skywalker we've come to know from Lucas' latest two offerings is such a tool that it has actually ruined the james earl jones goodness that was "vader" in my mind forever, I'm afraid.
  5. you are missing out!! go back and get in on a little scout-consular action. max out wisdom. about half way through the game you'll understand what i'm talkin' about. But as far as the best class? they are all great. one of the best things about games like NOTOR is that you can play all the way through half a dozen times and still not get bored. although i will agree in saying that being a sentinel in TSL might make the game easier than the other classes.. that has some validity.
  6. i love me some linux, but heck no. as pro linux as i am, i'll be the first to say it still has quite a way to go before something like that'd happen.
  7. well, i would rather play a well written, immersive game than i would an unplanned sequel constrained by its prequel... like the matrix IMO. this is not a foriegn concept. look at nintendo's zelda series for example. five minutes into the game you forget that you ever had concerns. for me an entirely new, unrelated plot would have been more than acceptable. think of the freedom it would allow in development... freedom to surprise me with new themes. the star wars universe is big enough to handle it.
