  1. Are you confident, given your experience over the last few builds, that the modding capability is robust enough so that you (and others) will be able to flavor the mechanics to taste?
  2. I'm not misunderstanding anything. Vendors from overseas? So what has been imported from overseas into the USA that's required to be part of the physical goods? Probably every damned thing that was printed?
  3. You're completely misunderstanding....the ports delay involved Obsidian receiving goods from the vendors, not shipping them out for fulfillment.
  4. I don't think they've commented yet on when the codes might drop. Presumably that will be part of BAdler's post on Monday....
  5. Apparently our European friends need a tutorial on the mysteries of geography.....
  6. Why do people care if others cheese their way through a single player RPG? It neither picks your pocket nor breaks your leg... That's not to say that particular peculiar circumstance shouldn't be fixed.
  7. Right....and for most characters and mobs, aren't you only engaging the target you are actively attacking? Otherwise, why the referenced talents that expand the number of targets you can engage? Giving out disengagement hits and recieving them are entirely different issues. It makes sense that you would take 3 disengagement attacks if 3 mobs are actively attacking you, but that you'd only apply such an attack to the 1 of the 3 you are attacking... Am I completely wrong about how the system is implemented? Na it doesn't matter whose attacking you...Sensuki did a video showing that it works. It matters whose engaged with you like others have said...you can perform the engagement attack without having the character targeted. One of the big problems is the range once you're involved in the mosh pit...for example you could move around a bit in D:OS without getting hit with an AoO performed on you...the "grace zone" in PoE isn't big enough. Yeah, I understand that. I guess my question is, are there many mobs capable of engaging 2 or 3 targets, and thus are player characters shuffling around in the melee scrum getting hit with triple and quadruple disengagement attacks?

  9. Aren't there engagement limitations in place? (i.e. if you're already engaging target A, you don't get a free disengagement attack on target B moving past you?) Hence things like the Fighter (Barbarian) talent that ups your engagement limit to 3? Or is this an outdated understanding of the system?
  10. Been an issue since forever, it seems. Sawyer enjoys the hugbox and the echo chamber more than any locale which will question his sometimes odd decisions or hangups. God forbid he'd have to defend the decisions. So of course, when X designer doesn't agree with you, he must just "enjoy the hugbox". What an asinine thing to say, but all to common around these parts... Considering said designer literally just posted a short 'nuh-uh' in response to people showing the math, perfectly justified. He didn't respond at all to the substance (such as it was - what I actually quoted was entirely content-free), and gave his reasons why that was so. Does baby want a belly rub too?

  12. - JE Sawyer's twitter. It's possible that change didn't make it into this build...
  13. You guys rock - thanks!
  14. As of my fiddling with a rogue last night (v435), dual-wielding definately applies a negative accuracy modifier to both weapons (I think it was -10?)....
  15. Wait, who then is my second tank you refer to? The "non-tanky" Pally? Thanks for the feedback...
  16. Having trouble deciding on what my first character should be. Debating Monk / Barbarian / Rogue. For context, at the moment I'm assuming I will roll through the first play with the following party composition: 1) PC 2) Eder - Fighter 3) Pallegina - Paladin 4) Kana Rua - Chanter 5) Grieving Mother - Cipher 6) Hiravias (Druid) / Durance (Priest Any of the three classes make a particular amount of sense given that party composition? Any of the three that have a lot to recommend to it in terms of fun-to-play, rewarding progression, etc? Leaning towards Monk... Thanks for your input!
  17. Uhh, the released clip doesn't even get us up to the Kickstarter launch. What exactly would they being shown coding?
  18. Was there ever any update on this?I can't seem to find one. (As someone that backed for a physical edition, I would expect the digital key to match the content as closely as possible.) Also, what is the "Kickstarter Exclusive In-Game Pet" and "Kickstarter only in-game achievement and item" ? Are they the "Giant Miniature Space Piglet" + "Gaun's Pledge" ? .. and if they are not, do backers get these 'pre-order exclusive' items? I am concerned as to whether we were lied to (ie: they are not exclusive to Kickstarter) or whether we are going to miss out on content (however small a pet and a ring are in the grand scheme of things) because we backed early. Yes, I'm sure they're lying to you.... You people are too much.
