  1. I'm torn here.

I want to romance Aloth but I have the "Clever" disposition, which I think is making it close to impossible for me to gain his approval.

But at the same time, changing Aloth's personality JUST so that I can get in his pants feels wrong. He's written and designed to behave the way he does and react to different dispositions. Just because it doesn't work out for me the way I want it to, does that mean I have the right to change him?

  2. If you can sneak over to the "exit" to Delver's Row, use it and return to the Undercroft. Immediately below that point is a Brawler. Walk past him and he'll ask what you're doing there. With a high enough Bluff you can claim you're there to meet his captain, and after talking to the Captain you're considered neutral and can leave in the boat.

I had already spoken to the guard so I was forced to kill him. I lost reputation with the Criminals, which locked me out of the black market, sadly. Guess I can't buy a Principi sail for Serafen's quest.

  3. I have -1 approval with Aloth right now because I like to pick the Clever dialogue options...

    Everyone else is at +1.

I actually triggered a conversation with Aloth where he told me he feels like I don't take my responsibility seriously enough. I told him he misunderstood me, and he acknowledged my Clever disposition and admitted that maybe he should know better than to take everything I say seriously. :p

  4. I've been playing as a Beguiler/Rogue with a rapier.

I position my party carefully to make sure I'm flanking enemies, and cast "Deception" Cipher abilities whenever I have enough Focus.

Eyestrike takes a while to cast, but the effects are nice. Phantom Foes is a must-have for this type of build. Mental Binding also has nice effects.

I think this build works better as part of a team than solo. Even if I don't get to take advantage of the effects of my skills because of Recovery, my companions do.

  5. Hi,

I simply want to replace the player's voice with my own voice. There are 155 .wem audio files under the "****y male player" voice set. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

    Thanks!

There's no easy way, it's going to be tedious.

This webpage has a tutorial for converting audio files between formats:

    https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/95552-converting-wem-to-ogg-for-sound-mods-tutorial/

You'll need to match your files to the original player voiceset files (use the names of the files to determine the conditions where they trigger) and name your file with the EXACT filename of the original (numbers and all) because that's how the game pulls it from the data to use it.

I went through Xoti's audio folder and manually swapped the majority of her voice files with those for the "Female Kind" player voice. It took a while, but I can confirm it works. In my case however, Xoti has some files that the player does NOT have, so I wasn't able to swap those.

  6. Yeah, I found that too. If I didn't already have my hands full with writing the editor, I'd play around with making a music mod, and cutting the VO. A 0 length mp3, converted to an ogg and then "compressed" to a wem, should work in theory.

Simply deleting wem files may cause errors in the error log or a game crash at start, I'm not sure which.

I've deleted WEM files without repercussions, so removing voiced audio for NPCs is possible.

However, I also am not a fan of Xoti's voice, and there doesn't seem to be a way to remove ALL of her VO without breaking something.
