  1. Why did you quote me exactly? Since you don't respond to anything I said, you're confusing me a bit. Unless the paragraph above is a response to me? In which case I'm aware of that the victorian vampires weren't quite the same as it's various folklore origins(which had plenty of stupid things on their own). Also don't forget asian vampires which are basically hopping zombies. I only recall people getting pissed about Oblivion vampires because they didn't make a lick of sense game mechanically and were pretty much broken as far as I could tell(getting weaker due to drinking blood? Really? Makes no sense to me). 'course I never got involved into those discussions myself so I only have a vague view on the discussion that went on. Also the Dragon Age setting does have vampires. They just haven't been shown in the games yet.
  2. Jeyne and the various archons for me. While the others were also fun, those were the ones that stood out to me.
  3. Your concept seems interesting, but why call it a vampire when it isn't a vampire? Why not use a unique name for them instead of going the Meyer route(which is basically claiming that diamond golems are vampires)?
  4. I prefer elves in the way they were done in 3.5E of the forgotten realms D&D pretty much. Which I guess comes under "Tolkien'esque". Probably because elves are a part of my ancestors mythology, which Tolkien based his elves on. Though my favorite elf race overall is the Drow. White hair and black/grey skin? Yes please!
  5. Well Warcraft 3 TFT has some naga missions. Plus NWN2 introduced pureblood yuan-tis as a playable race. They don't have tails per se(would've been awsome if they had) but in your head you still know that they are snake people. Also HoMM series had naga units since forever. RTS games don't count plus the Naga in WC3 weren't a full fledged faction. That and I was thinking of games where I get to be the character, not some army commander in an RTS. Also yes I know of the Yaun-Ti pureblood thing in NWN2's expansion(I played them a lot), but they aren't what I'm after.
  6. Honestly I can't single out any of these as I pretty much enjoy all environments mentioned to some degree. It's more about how it is presented ingame than the actual location. If it is done badly then we get the sewer level syndrome, but when it's done well then it doesn't matter what it is because it's -awesome-. Vague I admit, but it is the best way I can put it.
  7. I have no issue with anthropomorphic races in general. After all my favorite kind of anthropomorphic races are aking to the Naga in Warcraft. IE snakewomen with varying degrees of human appearance with the only universal trait for them being the fact that they have a snaketail instead of legs(look at my avatar for the basic idea of what I mean. Though half-draconic'ish races like the ones that showed up in IWD2 are also good. I used to mod the game so my character had their avatars). I also like cat girls(to use that as an example of the fur sort of anthro's) more or less, but I'm not overly fond of the Kahjiit in the slightest as they are presented in Oblivion and Skyrim because of the aesthetics of their heads just don't look particularly good in my opinion. That said I'd still champion their inclusion regardless as just because I don't like them it doesn't mean no one else should be able to experience them. After all it is just as valid a taste as mine is. Only difference is I prefer scales over fur(granted I gave up on finding a game that allowed me to play a naga/lamia). As for humans, I don't find them boring per se. It more comes down to what their culture is like in the setting and the overall aesthetics of said culture. They are however rarely my go to race unless I find the other race options to fall short. It also depends heavily on what aesthetical choices we have available for the customization of the characters appearance. I know I play humans more often if I can give them exotic combinations in terms of skin, hair and eye colour(that and as long as they don't look Liefeldian).
  8. As a norwegian.... I honestly don't have any issues with this. I'll judge her by what she does while she's in office and nothing else. If she does well, she'll get my kudos. If she does badly, I'll view her the same way I've ended up viewing most politicians.
  9. Or you better hope you aren't playing Victoria 2 where your neighbours are Great Powers hungry for land when you decide to help USA recover land that Canada stole from it. This happened while I was playing as Byzantium and being the biggest and most socialistic nation in the world. Suffice to say the other Great Powers jumped in to join as time went and World War 1 thus happened in the 1870ies and lasted six years, resulting in the empires economy completely tanking after it was victorious and pushed a treaty harsher than the Treaty Of Versailles onto the enemies(which was Canada, Paraguay, Scandinavia, Nagpur, China, Japan and several smaller ones). Games like CK2, EU3 and V2 are brilliant for stuff like this.
