I would also be interested in this - As others have mentioned, Double Fine put up a pie chart in their backers forum showing how their funds got used. It was interesting to note the final amount they were left with after rewards, the Kickstarter/Amazon percentage, the people who did not honour their pledges, etc. 4 million sounds like a lot, but in terms of making games it is really not as much as you might think.

My favourite Skyrim mod is the Bag of Holding - I can't play the game anymore without it, I think it took about a week if that for the mod to appear once tools were released. So don't worry too much over inventory size - I guarantee that inventory size will be one of the first things to recieve attention from modders as soon as any tools are made available.
